1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to deliver our lawn mowing service and communicate with you:

• Name and email address — collected when you submit your fund allocation preferences after booking, complete a service agreement, or contact us directly
• Service address — collected when you complete your service contract; used solely to schedule and deliver your booked lawn mowing service
• Payment information — your card details are collected and processed exclusively by Stripe, Inc. We never see, store, or have access to your full payment card number
• Fund allocation preferences — how you choose to divide your $50.00 booking fee among the four recipients (student, campaign costs, RDLA, Richmond Hospital Foundation)
• Stripe session ID — a reference number automatically passed by Stripe upon checkout completion, used to link your allocation preferences to your booking record

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only to operate the Cut with Purpose campaign:

• To confirm and schedule your lawn mowing service within your booked neighborhood zone
• To follow up on your fund allocation preferences and process distributions accordingly
• To send service-day notifications and any weather-related rescheduling updates
• To respond to questions or support requests you send us by email
• To maintain records for the campaign’s accountability and transparency commitments

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to the Cut with Purpose campaign.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate the campaign. Each governs its own data under its own privacy policy:

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing. Stripe collects and stores your payment card details. We only receive a payment confirmation and a session reference number.
• Supabase — cloud database used to store your name, email, and allocation preferences on secure servers.
• Netlify — website hosting and serverless functions. Netlify may log standard web-server access data (IP address, browser type, page requested) for security and performance purposes.
• Google Fonts — fonts loaded from Google’s servers. Google may log connection metadata. No personal booking data is shared with Google.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for the duration of the 2026 campaign season (until approximately September 30, 2026) to fulfill our service commitments. After that, booking and allocation records may be retained for up to one additional year for accounting purposes, then securely deleted.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your data with any third party except:

• The third-party service providers listed in Section 3, to the extent necessary to operate the campaign
• Where required by applicable law or a valid legal process

6. Your Rights

Under PIPA and PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your information, subject to any legal retention obligations

To exercise any of these rights, email us at cutwithpurpose@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Our website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Netlify and Google Fonts may set basic session or performance cookies as part of their infrastructure services. We do not operate any analytics tracking beyond what these providers collect by default.

8. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, including using HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and relying on reputable third-party infrastructure. No internet transmission is 100% secure. If you have concerns about the security of your information, please contact us.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our lawn mowing service is open to all Richmond, BC residents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Given the single-season scope of this campaign, we do not anticipate significant changes.
